In celebration of my 15th episode, I’m giving away a copy of Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders, 101 Patterns for Sockweight yarn. To enter in my drawing, just leave a comment in the blog. The drawing will take place during my 17th episode, so you have two weeks to enter!

  1. I do not have that book yet and I would love to have it so thanks for doing a giveaway!

  2. Enter me into the drawing I love the podcast. I'm pauly81 on Ravelry

  3. Thanks so much for the shout out about the shop! I appreciate it! And just so you know, I was able to get more of the kitty butt fabric, so there will be more of those bags up in the future.

About Peaches & far as I know, it's being discontinued, which is why it is getting harder to get. I'm not sure if Pisgah is closing all together or if they're just not making the yarn any more, but yeah...the LYS near me is trying to stock as much of it as she can get right now because people like it so much and it won't be around for long. :(

(BTW...I already have that book, so you don't have to put me in the drawing! I love those one-skein books, though! :))

  4. Enjoyed the podcast. I'd like to enter if you're taking international entries.

  5. I love your podcasts (I had a twisted strands week-end podcasts festival). I'm new at this hobby (been crocheting for a little while). I like your attitude and your sense of humour. I would like to enter your contest, if you take canadian entries :)

  15. You are hilarious, Jadee!!!! I would love to see more of your funny magazine reviews. I laughed so hard I cried! Everything you said (minus the "F" word which I don't use) sounds exactly like everything I say when I look at a lot of these magazines. Don't you wonder what these people are thinking??? Keep up the great work of making me laugh every week.

  16. love you girl! You're just too funny:o)

  17. I'm also working on the Japanese Garden Shawl over on Mommy Needs Knitting's KAL. I think you will enjoy the pattern...once you get past that 290 stitch cast on. Whew! I did mine with two strands of yarn - one from each end of the skein. Just a helpful hint I thought I'd pass on.

BTW, I'm a Sims-aholic, also. If I start playing, I can't pull myself away from the computer for hours...maybe days. :-D

  18. Holy shit- I could listen to you give your opinion on patterns all day long. I agree with everything you had to say about each pattern! Thanks for the great episode!!

  19. Count me in for the drawing! I am polly-jean on raverly.

  20. Hi Jadee!
OH those damn allergies! Kick their asses!

  23. Hi! I really enjoy your podcast. It keeps me company when I'm on break at work. I hope I win the book!

  24. I love your podcast. It is really enjoyable. I have to say I really love your candid review of Knitting Magazine and you are right on all counts. They should have garments on reall modells and maybe they would see the flaws in their designs.

  25. I really enjoy your podcast. It makes me smile every time. Your knitting is beautiful to boot!

  26. Enter me in the drawing, please. And I'd like to see garment on plus-size models!!!

  27. Absolutely loving your wry, off the wall humor, J.D. Just discovered your podcast about a week ago, and have caught up quickly. (But need to be careful about watching late at night. I tend to laugh loudly, and might wake DH!!!) Have seen the book, and it's on my wishlist, so please enter me in the drawing.
    Ravelry ID is Jazzy-J-Stitches.

  28. You rock! and make me laugh every time I watch you! I did send the kids to their playroom so that I could watch you!!!

  29. OMG -- you should do MORE reviews -- how how true about how ??? some of the patterns we see. I now go to Ravelry and see what a "project" looks like done on real people LOL

I've watched you from the beginning of your podcasts but don't think I've posted yet. So here's a thank you -- you are always fun, I always learn something, and I always look forward to more!

  30. Love the podcast, Jadee! Thanks for the opportunity to win a book!
