Pictures from the Connecticut Sheep and Wool!

Bridget and I went to the Connecticut Sheep and Fiber Festival on April 30th, 2016.  While the shopping wasn't the finest, I am still happy that we went there.  I only purchased a sock ruler and a very pretty multicolored fingering weight yarn.

First off, of course I thought the bunnies were so sweet.  I don't even like knitting with their fiber, but they are so small and furry and cute, so here are the buns.

I was very tempted by the fleeces for sale, but abstained because I'm in the midst of working on cleaning the one I bought at Rhinebeck still.
There were a few sheep on display, I didn't get a great picture of them however.
The alpacas were adorable, and  humming away as people fawned over them.
The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) was present as they are every year.  To me, they are the highlight of this small festival.  All of them were very pleasant and informative.
There were a few examples of weaving, which always fascinates me as I'm trying to teach myself that art.

 Also, several types of embroidery.

 Natural fiber dying!
I would love if Santa would put this under the tree this coming Christmas!
The CT crochet guild was there, with many beautiful samples of their handiwork.

The bobbin lace makers were also there, I love stopping by their booth.
I also got to meet Xandy Peters, who is a sweet young lady that is also a knit designer.  Her website is http://www.soimakestuff.com/
