Twisted Strands Ep. 9: Grumpy

  1. I, too, was raised by a father who was a firearms enthusiast. I live with anxiety and depression, yet the thought never crossed my mind to hurt, maim, or kill another human. Even gun reform isn't enough to fix what is broken in regards to this mess, because criminals will continue to find a way to procure firearms. The other side to this is the notion of the gun violence being a byproduct of mental healthcare in this country, too. Wish I had something inspiring to say about it. There's just so much sadness and suffering. And I would have thought after two years of enduring the pandemic (which is still going on!) would have made humans band together and do the right thing, and yet, HERE WE ARE. There is an intersectionality here too, where the same people who are doing nothing to stop children & teachers being slaughtered in schools, are the same people who insisted on abandoning the masking mandates. It's a very sobering thing to be in my 50s and looking at this raging dumpster fire, and thinking how my generation was the last one before school shootings became some prevalent. I'm considering deleting this comment before I hit publish, but wanted to tag onto your thoughts at the tail end of your video. Good reminder for us to vote in the midterms. Stay safe, JD@!
