Cape May Quilt & Fiber Show, Historic Cold Spring Village June 25-26, 2011
Historic Cold Spring Village’s 26th annual Quilt Show has expanded into a full-scale event celebrating all forms of fiber arts. In addition to voting for your favorite quilt, guests can take in workshops and demonstrations on knitting, crocheting, wool dyeing,

Twisted Strands Ep. 21 Disorganization, I haz it!

Lots of spinning stuff going here, some talk of wips and a toy FO.

Welcome to Episode 21
I’ve been doing some spinning! Just finished is some lovely brown wool. I’m also working on the second bobbin of Polworth dyed by Bohoknitterchic.
Next on the bobbins is some fiber gifted to me by Paletpc. It is a batt of merino wool by Hanks in the hood, and you can find them at www.hanksinthehood.com. This color is lovely green and charcoal, called Grasshopper.

5/21- 5th Annual Rhode Island Wool and Fiber Festival Bristol, RI
Join fiber and textile enthusiasts from across the Northeast at Rhode Island's only Wool and Fiber Festival. See craftspeople demonstrate traditional and contemporary fiber arts; purchase your own textile supplies, equipment, and gifts to take home; watch the hand shearing of sheep, and help with 18th century textile and farm work.
9:00am-4:00pm. $8.00 for Adults; $5.00 for Seniors and Children (6-12); Children under 5 Free. Museum Members-$5.00 for Adults; $3.00 for Seniors and Children (6-12); Children 5 and under Free.
