Twisted Strands Episode 2, Happy New Year!

Welcome to Episode 2! ; I have more WIPs to share, a bit more yarn, a new book of the week, and, the finished Dad Sweater from hell!

Show Notes:
In this episode, you get a better idea of just how many projects I like to have on the burners, and I’ve started a new book!
This week’s yarn is Operadarte by Filatura Di Crosa. I'm probably going to use it for doll clothing, as the ruffles fascinate me.
Works in Progress
Mom’s mitts are nearly done. One is completed, I’m up to the thumb gusset on the second.
Tidal Waves Socks are designed by Deby Lake. I’m knitting them in Knitivity Down Home Sock yarn in the color way Candy Corn. It’s coming out beautifully, and they fit like a glove. Only they are socks. You can find the yarns here at: http://www.knitivity.com/ I cannot recommend Ray enough, he’s got some lovely yarn and really good customer service.
My last Wip for this show is a Haruni shawl designed by Emily Ross. I’ve been in Chart A for quite some time, lol! Knitted in Wollmeise Dornröschen 80/20 Twin. I love this color!
Finished goodies
I’d finished the Fake Isle hat a while ago, but figured I would show it, because it has to do with my new year’s resolutions to do more colorwork!
It’s taken me well over a year to knit and assemble The Daddy Sweater from Hell, so of course I wanted to show it off, just a bit.

The book I’m reading right now is Knitting Under the Influence by Claire LaZebnik, and so far, it’s ok. Sorta bubblegummy fiction.
Also, I forgot to mention this during the podcast, but I’ve created a Ravelry Group for the podcast. It’s called Twisted Strands Podcast. If you’d like to join, all are welcome!
Happy New Year!
